- What Is Pollstir?
- Pollstir is a site where you can see the opinions of those you trust and in some cases those you don't, it is your choice. Using official ballot questions, each responder can "vote" and then "explain" their vote with comments. They can even comment on options they didn't vote for. It is like a multiple choice test with essays next to each question. Pollstir presents the results as a chart for each ballot item quickly showing how those you have selected feel. Clicking on the bars on the chart reveal the explanations behind the votes.
- How do I get my Poll on Pollstir?
- We are working to get the polls up as fast as we can. You can email us at "support at pollstir.com" to move your poll up the priority list. We hope to have all the polls that will be useful up as soon as possible.
- What's with the spelling of Pollstir?
- The term "pollster" means a person who conducts or analyzes opinion polls. The "stir" in Pollstir refers to your ability to stir different "mixins" or people's opinions, into your reports. Oh yea, and pollster.com (a very cool site by the way) was already taken! (our only relationship to pollster.com is that we are pronounced the same)
- Is Pollstir A Partisan Site?
- We hope not. We want Pollstir to work for everyone. Are the creators of Pollstir partisan? Of course, all people have an opinion and are therefore "partisan". But our goal is to provide a tool everyone can use regardless of the party they are in. Even if it is a birthday party!
- How does Pollstir make money?
- Good question. It doesn't. The development, hosting, and support are provided by the folks at Promoterz. We wanted this kind of tool and felt others would benefit as well, so we made it. Of course, if you have a business and would like your happy customers to tell others about you we hope you will check out Promoterz!
